ODR Ltd refurbish all types and sizes of tape drives, autoloaders and tape libraries, regardless of manufacturer. If your drive has failed or you suspect it is about to we will not simply repair the fault, but fully refurbish the device replacing all necessary parts to ensure continued reliability. In fact we are so confident of our workmanship, that we will offer you a full six-month warranty on the complete drive (not just the repair). Although magnetic media is less robust than optical, the advances in tape technology ensure higher data storage capacities, higher data throughput rates and greater reliability, justifying its presence for generations to come. However, your storage devices may fail or require regular servicing. As part of a planned maintenance program, a service and minor repair option for all types of drive is available. This allows the planned removal of drives, in need of overhaul (but not yet failed) to be serviced. This is particularly important where drives are used in a harsh environment or where unplanned system downtime is critical. Normally we aim to return your fully operational drive within five days. However, our engineers will work overnight to return your drive within 36 hours if necessary. In the very unlikely event that we cannot repair the drive, there is no charge and we will offer you a replacement.
